Alongside parish ministry, I serve as an Area Director of Ordinands, on Diocesan Synod and the Diocesan Council of Trustees.

I serve on the Diocesan Council of Trustees where, through its three constituent bodies, we hold responsibility for policy, financial and pastoral decisions.

As well as my general synod responsibilities, I also serve on the Diocesan Council of Trustees, Diocesan Synod, and Deanery Synod.
In 2018 I was elected to Diocesan Synod, then to the Diocesan Council of Trustees.
Not afraid to speak out and challenge: I pushed at Diocesan Synod and then, once a member, at Bishop’s Diocesan Council, to have a full review of Transforming Mission- with a report about to be circulated.
Member of Bishop’s Diocesan Council since Autumn 2024 and member of the Programme Board for Change and Renewal since December 2025.
In Southwark, I sit on the Diocesan Council of Trustees, the Board of Education, the Bishop’s Advisory Group on Liturgy, and am an Examining Chaplain.
I am Secretary to the Bermondsey & Rotherhithe Deanery Synod and joint Deanery Lay Vocations Champion, Lay Chaplain to Southwark Diocesan Synod and a member of the Diocesan Council of Trustees.
I have served on the Bishop’s Diocesan Council, and for a time as Lay Chair of Diocesan Synod, but more importantly I serve my local community in Fowey – as Church Warden, leading and preaching, and all the background roles which go unseen.
