While I am able now to speak in the House of Bishops, that has not enabled an evangelical complementarian episcopal voice to be heard in the wider General Synod.
In areas of theological controversy, I will be unashamed to bring a reformed evangelical and complementarian voice to deliberations, but always rooted in upholding our One, Holy, Catholic and Apostolic Church against those who would divide it.
I have served on several of the working groups connected to LLF/PLF, and also on the House of Bishops Standing Commission on the 5 Guiding Principles, initially covering the complementarian episcopal vacancy in Maidstone/Ebbsfleet.
I am a complementarian evangelical and serve on the Standing Commission on the House of Bishops’ Declaration and the Five Guiding Principles.
I therefore want to ensure that the 2014 settlement remains in place, while hoping that modest changes could be made to improve the experiences of ordained women and traditionalist catholic and complementarian evangelical clergy within its provisions.
