the alliance
I support the church’s current affirmation of the biblical pattern of chastity and marriage; I have been involved with the development of the Alliance; my background is in involvement with CPAS, Renew and Church Society.
The Church of England flourishing: I am one of the seven directors of the Alliance which is a network of networks within the Church of England committed to our Anglican heritage of faith, holding to the received teaching of the Church of England.
We set up the Alliance in 2023 in response to the trajectory that the Living in Love and Faith process was heading in.
The Alliance has over 2000 clergy supporters.
As one of the Alliance directors, I have met with the lead Bishops of the Programme Board of the Living in Love and Faith process and the LLF team regularly over the last quinquennium to help represent all the networks within the Alliance.
I am a member of the Alliance network and believe the Church of England’s existing doctrine of marriage to be faithful to the teaching of scripture.
I am therefore also standing in support of The Alliance.
I have also demonstrated my ability to work with the many different Anglican traditions as represented in the breadth of The Alliance of which I have became a director in 2024.
As Chair of the Alliance, I am committed to working for arrangements that keep the Church together, protecting conscience and enabling people on all sides to minister with integrity before God.
