rural mission
I’ve spent the last eleven years working with the Buckingham Area Team as an Area Dean for rural mission and development.
I currently serve within a rural mission community of nine parishes, where I see both the remarkable faithfulness of local congregations and the practical pressures facing clergy, church officers and volunteers.
I served my curacy and initial title post in large multi parish benefices in rural Devon, before relocating in 2021, to Alcester in Warwickshire, to lead the rural mission hub and Alcester Minster family of churches (8).
Leading the rural mission hub has enabled me to spend time with other clergy and laity, seeking creative solutions to both mission and governance complexities, aiming to offer support as requested.
In 1991, wanting to test the call to mission, I went to Zimbabwe and served in 4 rural mission stations.
