For ten years, I served as a Trustee and then Chair of St Augustine’s Foundation, which funds theological education in the Anglican Communion, particularly in the global south.
I also have an international perspective: I have experience working with Anglicans from across the global communion, not only back in Canada, but also in America and the Global South.
This last role keeps me connected to the global church through teaching opportunities in Europe and North America, and with students from the Global South.
I am standing for election to the General Synod of the Church of England because the voices of the Global South and Eastern Europe, and the experience of those of us who minister across cultures and borders, must be heard more clearly in the councils of our Church.
I stand as a priest formed by the Global South, tested in the realities of Eastern Europe, and committed to the Anglican way of Scripture, tradition, and reason held in creative tension.
