Paramount though, is our commission to mission as exemplified in the Five Marks of Mission, where we show Christ’s love to others in service, in combatting injustice, in caring for our world and in the proclamation of his good news and the nurture of those who have come to faith.
This commitment is rooted in the Church of England’s Five Marks of Mission: to proclaim the Good News of the Kingdom; to teach, baptise and nurture new believers; to respond to human need by loving service; to transform unjust structures, challenge violence and pursue peace and reconciliation; and to safeguard the integrity of creation.
I am inspired by the Anglican Communion’s Five Marks of Mission:

That does not mean, however, that we should be afraid to make difficult decisions on occasion: I find holding the five marks of mission in mind help in that regard.
I will also strive for a Church centred on Jesus Christ, shaped by the five marks of mission, outward-looking and relevant to all who live in this country.
I am excited to be part of “A Church for the whole nation which is Jesus Christ centred, and shaped by, the five marks of mission.
I believe our common framework is best expressed through the Five Marks of Mission -Tell, Teach, Tend, Transform and Treasure - which must guide our national and diocesan priorities over the next five years:
Jesus: I am wholly committed to a Church of England that is Jesus centred, shaped by the five marks of mission, and is humbler, simpler and bolder.
Drawing on my previous experience as a mission partner serving in the Anglican Church of Tanzania, this means ordering our mission according to the 5 Marks of Mission while emphasising the primacy of proclaiming the Good News of the Kingdom (see https://www.anglicancommunion.org/five-marks-of- mission/).
I would strive as your representative to promote the following: An outward-looking church in which Jesus Christ is central and is focussed on the five marks of mission in proclaiming the good news of the kingdom.
These are not just abstract policy points in the Five Marks of Mission; they are real-life challenges defining the line between life and death.
Missional Focus: Being a bold voice for global and local mission, championing all Five Marks of Mission across the full breadth of the Church of England.
As the Five Marks of Mission express it, I seek ‘to strive to safeguard the integrity of creation and sustain and renew the life of the earth’.
I want to promote and support motions that seek to grow God’s kingdom by gaining support from various views within the church to all proposals that support the Five Marks of Mission.
The Church of England's calling is to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ afresh in each generation to the people of England and I am fully supportive of the national vision for the Church to become a Church that is centred on Jesus Christ and shaped by Jesus Christ through the five marks of mission.
I am committed to the Five Marks of Mission and greatly enjoy baptism and confirmation services.
